印刷用ページ Nintendo of Koreaが17日に開催した韓国向けニンテンドー3DS発表会に出席した宮本茂さんは、現在「スーパーマリオ4」を開発中であるとコメントしました。
韓国のニュースサイトBetanewsのインタビューに応じた宮本さんは、作品について「社内のマリオチームが、現在「スーパーマリオ4」を開発中です。ですが、今は開発中であるという事実だけをお伝えします。具体的な内容については別の機会に発表します」とコメントしました。
対応機種について言及はありませんでしたが、WiiU向けには既に「NewスーパーマリオブラザーズMii」が開発中であること、2012年度中に3DS向け2Dマリオ作品が発売される予定であること、会場が3DS発表会だったことなどから、「スーパーマリオ4」は3DS向けの2Dマリオ作品である可能性がありそうです。
