印刷用ページ PC Watchにて、Intel社が新型CPU「Larrabee」を家庭用ゲーム機を開発・販売している各社に売り込んだ事が報じられていますが、その中にHD化されたWiiの存在と次世代機についての話題がありました。
記事によると、任天堂は以前から噂されている「Wii HD」と呼ばれるWiiの高解像度化バージョンを準備しており、2010年頃のリリースが目標になっています。そして「Wii HD」は、次世代機というよりは中継ぎ的なスペックだと言われているとのこと。
ちなみにIntel社は任天堂に対しても「Larrabee」を売り込んでいますが、空振りに終わっているようです。
Wiiが発売された時点ではHD環境が整っている家庭が少なかったという経緯があり、今まで常識とされていたグラフィック性能の進化よりも操作面の進化が優先されました。

あくまでも「画質向上したWii」なだけなので。(それだけでないかも知れませんが。)
ま、その辺りはユーザーの気持ちをかなり大切にしてくれている

HD化したWiiなら スターフォックス制作者の
ディラン・カフバート氏も続編を制作する気になってくれるかな(汗)

- メニュー周りのHD出力、出るソフトは今までどおり旧Wii用ソフトでアプコン機能で対応、じゃないですか？
DSi同様、モデルチェンジみたいな感じで専用ソフトとかは出ないのではないかと思います。
大画面液晶でのボケが気になる人だけ買い替えどうぞ、みたいな。

私の個人的な意見としては・・・Wiiにはまだ可能性を
