印刷用ページ 11日に発売された「プレイステーション3」は、PSやPS2ソフトとの互換性に問題が発生しています。はたしてWiiとGCソフトは大丈夫なのか、という特集です。
読売新聞社が掲載した新型「プレステ３」、互換ソフト２００本が作動不良にという記事に、WiiとGCソフトについて書かれています。
１２月２月発売の任天堂「Ｗｉｉ（ウィー）」では、現行機「ゲームキューブ」のソフト約２８０本は正常に動くことを確認しているという。
国内で発売されたゲームキューブ用ソフトの数を調べたところ、Wikipediaにて「282タイトル（ベスト版などを除く）」と書かれていましたので、ほぼ全てのゲームキューブソフトは、Wiiでも支障なく動作するということですね。
ただ、周辺機器は使用できないものがあります。GC本体裏面の端子を使用する「ゲームボーイプレーヤー」や「ブロードバンドアダプタ」などがそうですが、特に大きな影響はないですね。
とりあえず、ゲームキューブソフトがWiiでも問題なく動作することが分かりましたので、一安心ですね。個人的には、このような情報は任天堂が早めに発表するべきな感じもしますが。
