印刷用ページ 任天堂ホームページにて、Wiiソフト「ドラゴンクエストX 目覚めし五つの種族 オンライン」をWii Uで起動して遊ぶ場合の注意事項が掲載されています。
お知らせによると、Wii U本体のバージョンが「1.0.3J」である場合は、まずWii Uをインターネットに接続して本体の更新を行ってほしいとのこと。本体の更新は、Wii Uメニューの「本体設定」から「本体の更新」を選択することで可能です。
Wii U本体のシステムのバージョンが「1.0.3J」でも本作をプレイすることは出来ますが、必ずWiiメニューを選んでからディスクを挿入する必要があります。
「Wiiメニュー」に切り替える前にディスクを挿入した場合、正しくディスクを認識できない問題が発生するとのこと。この事象が発生した場合は、ディスクを取り出した後でACアダプターを抜き、4秒以上待ってから再度差し込んで本体を起動することで復帰できます。
なお、バージョンアップ後はこの事象は発生しないとのこと。Wii Uで「ドラクエX」を遊ぶ場合はご注意ください。
