印刷用ページ Ubisoftは、Wii Uソフト「スポーツコネクション」を2012年12月20日に発売すると発表しました。また、本作と「ゾンビU」の公式サイトを開設、トレイラーなどを公開しました。
「スポーツコネクション」の価格は4800円、ジャンルはマルチスポーツゲーム、プレイ人数は1～5人です。本作は、WiiリモコンプラスとWii U GamePadを使って6種類のスポーツを楽しめるゲームです。収録されるのはテニス、ゴルフ、ベースボール、サッカー、アメフト、カートレースです。
例えば野球では、GamePadをミットに見立てて操作してボールをキャッチするといった操作に対応しています。
種目によってはWiiリモコンプラスとGamePadを合わせて最大5人での同時対戦も可能です。例えばカートレースでは、Wiiリモコンプラスを操作する4人がテレビ画面を4分割で、GamePadでは手元の画面で遊びます。
また、2012年12月8日にWii U本体と同時発売する「ゾンビU」の新しいトレイラーも公開されています。動画は3種類で、上からイメージトレイラー、Wii U GamePadフォーカストレイラー、日本語ゲームプレイトレイラーです。
