印刷用ページ 任天堂がE3プレゼンテーションの後に開催したデベロッパーラウンドテーブルQ&Aセッションでの発表によると、Wiiソフトのセーブデータや購入したバーチャルコンソールなどは、Wii Uへ移行できるようにするとのこと。
発表によると、Wiiから移行できるのはセーブデータ、バーチャルコンソール、Wiiウェアです。このうち、バーチャルコンソールとWiiウェアはショップの購入記録も移行されます。
詳しい移行方法や提供時期などは不明ですが、例えば次世代ゲーム機への移行に関しては、任天堂ではニンテンドーDSi/DSi LLからニンテンドー3DSへの引っ越し機能を提供しています。このケースでは、既に配信を終了したDSiウェアや、ダウンロードソフトのセーブデータが移行対象外になるなどの制約がありました。

- 引継ぎ出来るのは逆に買い換えを促す武器になるもんね。目先の利益を追求するより賢い選択だね。
ただ、Ｗｉｉでは対戦ゲームとかネット対戦に対応していないものがほとんどだったので、この辺は有料でもいいから出来る様にアップデートして欲しいな。 - こうちん 2012/06/07 PM10:13
- 今年から月に１本（ネオジオを除いた任天堂本体）となったバーチャルコンソール配信ですけど、移行が可能となるのならば、各ゲームメーカーさんも配信価値を見出して、５年前の様な活気を取り戻して毎週１本は配信してくれるかも知れないね。テレビを付けずに、携帯モニターで遊べるとなると、バーチャルコンソールが手頃になるのは間違いない。
