印刷用ページ 任天堂は本日、Wii本体のOSをVer.4.2Jにアップデートしました。
Wii公式サイト内のQ＆A「Wii本体を更新する方法は？ 更新するとなにが変わるの？」によると、今回の更新内容は「より快適にWiiをお楽しみいただけるよう、動作品質を改善しました」とのこと。
具体的にどう変更があったのかは書かれていませんが、管理人が先ほどアップデートしたところ、Wiiメニューなどの見た目は特に変化していませんでした。
ちなみにCubed3の記事などによると、今回の更新によってhomebrewチャンネルやDVD再生などのユーザー制作によるアプリケーションは削除されたり、動作しなくなったりするとのこと。
この更新は全世界でほぼ同時に行われたようなので、今回はそういったアプリケーションの規制が目的なのかも知れません。

- DVD再生はライセンス的にどうするか迷っているだけの様な気が。
あと、ゲーム機にDVDプレイヤー機能なんて要るのかとかそういう所でも迷っている気が。
まぁ、Wiiの間とかゲーム以外のコンテンツも色々出しているんだから、入れちゃえばいいのにとか思うけどｗ
